Hi, there! My name is Nicole Mayfield, and I just finished my 7th year teaching in the state of Tennessee. I have spent the past four years teaching 8th grade Language Arts in Millington, and I truly love the middle school age group! However, my first three years as an educator, I taught at the high school level, gaining experience teaching 10th grade English, 12th grade English, Creative Writing, and Journalism. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Education (English) and a Master of the Arts in Reading Education. At my current school, I sponsor the Jr. BETA Club, the Writing Club, and serve as chair for the English department. I'm also beyond proud to share that I was voted "Middle School Teacher of the Year '21-'22". Outside of the classroom, I'm a mom to one little boy (and four fur babies), a wife to a very supportive husband, and an avid reader.
